RO 7 holds training on “pin-drop” method for better claims adjustment
Expect more accurate and faster claims adjustment from Regional Office 7.
RO 7 will have an improved claims adjustment process, after its adjusters attended a training on using the “pin-drop” method thru the use of a smart tablet on April 24 to 25 in the town of Ubay in Bohol.
The “pin-drop” method, using a Maps application on smartphone tablets, allows users to pinpoint an exact location, access directions, and save the pinned spot for future reference. This method provides a precise marker on the map, which is especially useful in claims adjustment, as it helps determine the exact area insured by the farmer.
By using this method, claims adjustment can be done more accurately, efficiently and quickly.
“This is good so we can further expedite the post planting inspection and adjustment on claims for our farmers,” RO 7 Manager Paulita Secuya said.
Engr. Ernesto Chavez, Technical Assistant from the Office of the Senior Vice President, served as resource person on the “pin-drop” method.
The workshop introduced tools for use in the field, allowed hands-on application of the “pin-drop” method for precise documentation, and focused on improving the speed and reliability of claims assessment.
