PCIC Regional Office 2 (RO 2) gave food packs, hygiene kits, and other essential goods to more than 230 elementary students and members of the indigenous Agta community and other local tribes.
The distribution was part of the RO’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts, and benefitted students from the Dioryong Integrated School, Tiltilan Elementary School, and Pulang Lupa Elementary School. These schools host children from different tribes, namely the Aetas and Bugkalot.
Dioryong Integrated School Officer-in-Charge Amelia Kinggingan expressed her gratitude to PCIC-RO2. She shared that for school personnel and many of the children and families in the area, the visit was more than just a delivery of supplies — it was a reminder that they are not forgotten. The assistance package consisted of mats, blankets and hygiene kits which had a towel, toothbrush, toothpaste, alcohol and soap.
“Your support means so much to us and will go a long way in helping our students and their families. Maraming maraming salamat po.”
Also present were representatives from the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples in Nagtipunan, led by Head Nurse Edinal Buhong, Pulang Lupa Elementary School- Officer-in-Charge Lizardo Vicente, Tilitilan Elementary School Officer-in-Charge Jossa Buñao, and staff members of other nearby schools.
