
RO 1 personnel assist farmers in Anda, Pangasinan get their indemnity checks. ₱0.848 Million indemnity was given to more than 120 beneficiaries.
Regional Office 1 handed out over ₱10 Million indemnity to more than 1,500 farmer-beneficiaries from February 21 to 28, 2025.
The beneficiaries were included in the Registry System for Basic Sectors in Agriculture (RSBSA) and experienced losses resulting from strong rains. They come from the municipalities of Mangaldan (₱2.37 Million indemnity, 364 recipients); Manaoag ( ₱1.7 Million, 220 recipients); Natividad (₱0.981 Million, 148 recipients); San Nicolas (₱0.234 Million, 45 recipients), Anda (₱0.848 Million, 127 recipients); Mangatarem (₱1.7 Million, 320 recipients); Pozorrubio (₱0.533 Million, 67 recipients) and Alaminos City (₱1.7 Million, 220 recipients).
The distribution event was led by RO 1 Manager Raul Servito and was supported by the respective Municipal Agriculture Offices and the City Agriculture Office of Alaminos City.
“Sana ito pong mga cheke ninyo, nawa’y makatulong para makapagsimulang muli sa inyong pag-aagrikultura,” Servito said during the activity. “Hinihikayat din po namin kayo na magpaseguro at protektahan ang inyong mga sarili.”
He was referring to PCIC’s Accident and Dismemberment Security Scheme (ADSS), which provides financial assistance for insured farmers in case accidental death, dismemberment occurs, or the insured becomes disabled.
