Regional Office 5 handed out almost ₱70,000 to nine farmers on January 3, 2024, at the Office of Municipal Agriculturist in Pilar town, province of Sorsogon. The farmers were given indemnity after their rice crops were damaged by heavy rains brought about by the shear line. PCIC Insurance Underwriter Rese Macasinag led the distribution.
