The Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation (PCIC) joined the 17th General Assembly of the Philippine Cooperative Central Fund Federation (PCF) held in Bohol on May 1-3, 2015.  The seminar attended by 200 cooperative leaders apprised their members and communities on the latest programs of the national government.

PCIC Director Epifanio A. Maniebo and VP-CBAG Antonio S. Uy II brought forward the prime vision of PCIC of stabilizing the income of agricultural producers and promoting the flow of credit in the countryside.  They also discussed the PCIC agricultural insurance programs such as the Weather-Adverse Rice Areas (WARA) and DA-LBP Sikat Saka and Registry System for Basic Sectors in Agriculture (RSBSA).

The mechanics of RSBSA was given emphasis during the discussion as PCF is national in scope.  PCF and PCIC are set to sign a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the parties to cooperate with each other in expanding the coverage of PCIC.
