The Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation (PCIC) signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with VICTO National Cooperative Federation and Development Center (NCFDC) during its 45th Annual General Meeting and Convention in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan on May 17, 2015.  The signing was led by PCIC Board of Directors Chairman Dioscoro A. Granada and Director Epifanio A. Maniebo, PCIC CBAG Vice President Antonio S. Uy II and VICTO NCFDC CEO Renia Salinas.

The MOA aims to provide insurance protection to farmers and fisherfolk who are members of VICTO NCFDC through the PCIC Agricultural Insurance Program for farmers and fisherfolk listed in the Registry System for Basic Sectors in Agriculture (RSBSA), Yolanda Rehabilitation Program and other special programs under the PCIC in partnership with Department of Agriculture and Department of Agrarian Reform.

The convention was attended by 269 primary cooperative member-affiliates with around a million members.
