Employees of PCIC Regional Office 5 (RO 5) on June 11, 2025, planted 500 mangrove trees at Barangay Dolo, in the town of San Jose, Camarines Sur. The activity is part of the RO’s Corporate Social Responsibility efforts aimed at lessening soil erosion and flood waters in the area.

RO 5 Regional Manager Maria Janice Obias said the activity was the office’s way of giving back to the environment and community.

A Gender and Development seminar on HIV Awareness and Reproductive Health followed in the afternoon.  The seminar aimed to educate employees on the importance of HIV prevention and reproductive health. The resource person, Camarines Sur Polytechnic College Professor Nanette Oida, gave a presentation on prevalent reproductive health issues.
