The PCIC Regional Office 7 recently inaugurated its provincial extension office (PEO) in Ubay, Bohol at its new location.

The PEO in Ubay is now located at the second floor of Regner Building in Barangay Poblacion. It is easy to find, as it is near various municipal offices and the agricultural market, and at the heart of the town’s fast-growing commercial hub.

“The PCIC is happy to have opened this new extension office,” PCIC Vice President for Corporate and Business Affairs Antonio Uy II said. “The new location is more accessible and has a bigger space than our previous location. This means we can accommodate more clients.”

PCIC Region 7 Manager Crescencio Deligero Jr.  shares the same sentiment, as he said the new office can help PCIC Region 7 serve more farmers and fisherfolk.

“We made it easy for farmers to find the new office,” Mr. Deligero said. “With this, the agency has brought its product lines closer to farmers, fisherfolk and entrepreneurs. That’s why we are confident that we will insure more farmers this year.”

Data from PEO Ubay showed that for 2018, the office insured 48,280 farmers, provided protection to Ᵽ1.4 Billion worth of crops and properties,  and generated a total premium of Ᵽ106.71 Millio
