PCIC Region VI gave out certificates of insurance cover for farmers in Aklan’s 2^nd district in an event held at Tangalan, Aklan on October 29, 2019.

Dubbed 4th Grand Rollout:  Turn over Ceremony of PCIC Certificates of Insurance Cover for 2019 2^nd Cropping, the activity was spearheaded by Rep. Teodorico Haresco Jr. and held at the Tangalan Sports and Cultural Complex.

A total of 2,300 farmers received Certificates of Insurance Cover for the 2^nd cropping period of 2019 from PCIC President Jovy Bernabe. 

“I’m grateful to all of you who have attended this mass orientation,” President Bernabe said. “Hopefully, the next time we are here, we will be distributing your checks for those of you who will have claims indemnity.”

Moreover, President Bernabe thanked Rep. Haresco and other officials from Aklan’s 2^nd District for the partnership they have with the PCIC to ensure that farmers in the district have agricultural insurance.

For his part, Rep. Haresco thanked the PCIC.

“Starting next year, Atty. Bernabe and I already agreed that we will give crop insurance to 10,000 farmers, fisherfolks and coconut farmers of West Aklan for all of you to be secured especially when faced by calamities such as flood and typhoon.
