Director Tamba thanks staff members of PEO-Negros Occidental for reaching their production target for 2024, during his visit on February 19, 2025.

Let’s reach out and enroll more farmers and fisherfolk, especially in the free insurance for subsistence farmers and fisherfolk.

This was the message of PCIC Board Member, Dir. Dalmacio Tamba Jr., representative of Visayas to the Board, during his visit to the PCIC Extension Office in Negros Occidental on February 19, 2025.

“On behalf of the PCIC Board I extend my congratulations to all of you for your dedicated service and reaching the insurance production target of the PEO,”  Dir. Tamba said. “Let us continue to reach out to other farmers and fisherfolks who have not availed themselves of our programs so that in times of calamities we are able to give assistance to them in their time of need.”

In response, PEO-Negros Occidental Head Ariel Batuigas and his team said they will double their effort so they can insure more farmers this year. He said they plan to intensify their coordination with farmer associations and cooperatives through the assistance of line agencies  so they can reach more farmers and fisherfolk this year.
