The Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation (PCIC) Regional Office VII Regional Manager Crescencio V. Deligero Jr., PCIC Acting Vice-President Antonio S. Uy II, Bantayan, Cebu Mayor Ian Christopher G. Escario and Municipal Agriculturist Alexander Joseph Fernandez delivered an indemnity check on October 2, 2012 to fisherman Julian A. Araneta of barangay Guiwanon, Bantayan Island for his damaged motorized banca due to the southwest monsoon winds or “habagat”.

The coverage of the banca was courtesy of the comprehensive insurance programs of the Province of Cebu and PCIC Partnership under the leadership of Cebu Governor Gwendolyn F. Garcia and PCIC President Jovy C.  Bernabe.
