Drought-affected Isabela farmers receive ₱9M indemnity from PCIC
More than 2,200 farmers from the municipalities of Benito Soliven, San Mariano and Jones in Isabela received ₱9.70 Million worth of indemnity checks from PCIC Regional Office 2 on November 22 and 23, 2019. The payments were for the partial crop losses caused by drought.
The checks were released at the Community Centers of Benito Soliven and Jones, respectively. This was done for the convenience of farmer-beneficiaries and to increase community awareness on PCIC.
Before the distribution, a short briefing was conducted by the Marketing and Sales Division staff on PCIC’s insurance products.
