The Department of Agriculture on April 29, 2025 recognized the PCIC as the 𝐓𝐨𝐩 𝟏 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐫 among its attached corporations during the agency’s 1st Performance Appreciation System (PAS) awarding ceremony held in Quezon City.
Instituted under DA Department Order No. 9 in 2024, PAS aims to recognize the significant achievements of Operating Units that directly implement the Department’ s programs, activities, and projects. It likewise aims to strengthen accountability and transparency; promote continuous improvement; and foster organizational excellence. It rates agencies according to four key dimensions of accountability, namely: physical performance results, financial performance results, good governance results and citizen/client satisfaction results.
Having attained the highest score among corporations, the PCIC was commended for its “dedication, collaboration and hard work” that helped the DA achieve its goals.
For this recognition, the PCIC thanked farmers and fisherfolk for the trust and patronage of its products.
The corporation also expressed gratitude to officials and staff from the Head Office and Regional Offices for their dedication and hard work in making agricultural insurance accessible and efficient.
