Regional Office 10 (RO 10) Manager Irene Oco signed her pledge of support to the 65-hectare coconut seed farm  project of the Philippine Coconut Authority and the provincial government of Agusan del Norte.

The project — located in Las Nieves — was launched through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement between the PCA and the Agusan del Norte provincial government, on September 19, 2024, in  Butuan City. Ms. Oco said the PCIC continues to provide free insurance for subsistence coconut farmers listed in the National Coconut Farmers Registry System (NCFRS) under the Coconut Farmers and Industry Development Plan (CFIDP) formally launched.

Present during the launch was Department of Agriculture Executive Director for Region 4 Jose Apollo Pacamalan, who presented future plans and opportunities for the coconut industry.
