PCIC Region XI conducted a mass release of indemnity checks worth P1.33 Million to 660 farmers in five Sarangani towns on June 14, 2024.    The towns and their corresponding payouts are:  Glan,  P572,478; Malapatan,  P38,549; Malungon, P286,880; Kiamba,  P330, 927; and Maasim,  P98,869.   The insurance payments were for losses incurred by farmers due to drought caused by the El Niño and pest and diseases that occurred in the area.  PCIC RO 11 personnel Irene C. Demonteverde, Ronel P. Dumaguing and Ofelialyn Rose M. Sulan released the  indemnity checks.  They were assisted by the municipal agriculture office staff in each of the five municipalities.
