Top PCIC officials award indemnity check to swine owners
PCIC Chairman Crisologo Ignacio and President Jovy Bernabe led the awarding of indemnity checks to three swine owners whose hogs were affected by African Swine Fever (ASF). These hog raisers were from Rodriguez, Rizal.
The awarding was done at PCIC Regional Office 4 in Calamba City, Laguna on November 12, 2019.
In addition, 20 other farmers and swine owners from the municipality of Naic in Cavite and from the municipalities of Rizal and Pagsanjan and the cities of Sta. Rosa and San Pablo in Laguna were also given indemnity checks. All in all, the value of indemnity checks distributed reached ₱295,501.
Also present during the occasion were PCIC Directors Alex Suarez, Juan Borra, Jr., and Arnold Colama, SVP Antonio Uy II, VP Segundo Guerrero, Jr., and VP Luther Romeo Salting.
PCIC Region 4 Officer-in-Charge Marissa Agudera assured the farmers that the regional office will hold a series of mass distribution of indemnity checks in the various provinces of Region 4.
