Department of Agriculture Secretary Proceso J. Alcala and Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation President Atty. Jovy C. Bernabe distributed insurance indemnity checks during the Grand Harvest Festival of the Province last September 13, 2013 in Santiago City, Isabela.

More than P1.0 million was received by the representatives of the Land Bank of the Philippines (LBP), Alalay sa Kaunlaran Inc. (ASKI), Tulay Sa Pagunlad Inc. (TSPI), Malaya Development Cooperative and Mallig FST Cooperative, which are PCIC partner lending institutions and conduits providing production financing assistance.

Indemnity checks worth P9.0 million are also ready for distribution to the Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries of Quirino province who were hit by typhoon “Labuyo”.

The indemnity check distribution was among the highlights of the Grand Harvest Festival which was undertaken to show-case the gains of the DA Rice Program in the province of Isabela.   Also present during the Festival were Usec. Dante De Lima, DA RFU II Regional Director Lucrecio Alviar, Jr., Cong. Giorgidi Aggabao, Cong.  Ana Christina Go, and many others.
