In line with the Regional Office preparation for widespread calamities, PCIC RO III conducted an orientation for Marketing Services Division and Claims Adjustment Division encoders on April 30, 2014. It was participated in by 22 encoders who will implement the automation of the underwriting and claims processes.

The orientation dealt with the procedures in encoding and demonstration of the actual process. The common errors and gray areas in encoding were also tackled and pointers were given to avoid committing the same errors.

In closing, RM Romeo Gonzales emphasized the prohibition of errors on data encoding in underwriting and claims transactions that may contribute in the delay of claims settlement.  He  reported that the Regional Office insured a total of 53,364 enrollees in all agricultural insurance lines and indemnified 13,023 farmer-claimants. A monumental increase of 166.39% in farmer enrollees and385.58 % in indemnified farmer-claimants.
