Last September 21, 2012, PCIC RO III awarded indemnity checks to six (6) Irrigators Associations (IAs) in the province of Pampanga, namely Nagkakaisang Magsasaka ng St. Michael (NAMASAMI), Cansinala-South Farmers & Irrigators Assn., Inc. (FIAI), Cansinala Farmers Association, Inc. (FAI), Pangclara Irrigators Services Administration (PISA), Gonzales Canal Irrigators Association (IA) and Vizal San Pablo Irrigators Association.

The total number of IA members who were indemnified were 236, tilling 346.8 hectares with total indemnity of P3,406,481.95.  The palay crops of the IA members were damaged by the continuous rains brought by Habagat.

Chairmen Renato Punzalan of NAMASAMI, Noel Tamin of Cansinala-South FIAI, Rolando Ramos of Cansinala FAI, Restituto Aga of PISA, Magno Sagum of Gonzales Canal IA and Nelson Carangian of Vizal San Pablo IA expressed gratitude to PCIC thru its President, Atty. Jovy C. Bernabe, for the indemnity they received.  All these IAs continuously insure their palay crops every time they plant and including their members’ lives under the Term Insurance Program of PCIC.

They added that with PCIC, they feel secured and vowed to avail other insurance products with PCIC in the hope of augmenting their insurance benefits.
