The PCIC Regional Office IV team composed of Mr. Armando G. Novero, Officer-In-Charge of Claims Adjustment Division, and Mr. Bobby R. Avendaño, Claims Processor II and Designated Insurance Adjuster, in coordination with the Department of Agriculture, installed the Community Trap Barrier System (CTBS) in a farm lot at San Francisco, Sablayan, Occidental Mindoro last July 13, 2012 to prevent and control plant pests and diseases.

The caretaker of the farm, Mr. Rally G. Garbin, was thoroughly briefed on the functions and principles of the CTBS. He was advised on how to fix and make repairs on the system in case of damage to the structure. The PCIC Regional Office IV field personnel will monitor the effectiveness of CTBS.

This undertaking is related to PCIC Regional Office IV’s Action Plan for CY 2012 and PCIC Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program. PCIC is adopting a socially responsible business practice that promotes the protection of the environment and well-being of the community.
