To prepare its regions for eventual International Standards Organization (ISO) accreditation, the PCIC recently conducted orientation and training workshop on quality management systems for all its regional offices in Mindanao.

Spearheaded and facilitated by the PCIC’s Quality Assurance Council (QAC), the learning event, conducted from September 5-7, 2012 in Cagayan de Oro City, was participated in by officers and staff of Regions 9, 10, 11 and 12.

Consisting of lectures, discussion and workshops, the forum fostered knowledge and skills on the Government Quality Management System Standards (GQMSS) Requirement and Documentation of ISO 9001:2008 and quality objective formulation.

At the end of the forum, the participants successfully formulated their quality objectives consistent with ISO requirement.

They were also able to formulate their regional plan of activities for the pre-assessment prior to the main ISO certification processes.

The training participants rated the event as professionally and personally rewarding experience. It was facilitated by Robertito Lemuel B. Ocampo, Danilo E. Don and Rita May M. Pura of the PCIC’s QAC.
