PCIC, LandBank strengthen coordination to better serve General Santos farmers

The PCIC-Regional Office 11 and LBP General Santos Lending Center can still improve efficiency in its operations to better serve clients and obtain common targets.

This was the result of the coordination meeting held by the PCIC Region 11-LBP General Santos

Regional Coordinating team held in General Santos City on February 11, 2019.

“The PCIC Region 11 and LBP continue to listen to our clients, the farmers,” Regional Manager Bonifacio Pales, M.S., said.  “We recognize the need for financial assistance in coming up with capital and for the premium payment for crop insurance.  With PCIC and LBP working together, we’re confident that we’ll deliver the aid required by the farmers.”

“We are happy to work with PCIC Region 11 to better cater to farmers in the region,” Ms. Eden Japitana, LBP General Santos Lending Center Group Head, said.

During the meeting, participants discussed updates on PCIC and LBP programs, product lines and credit services.  They also came up with strategies to attain common targets.

Moreover, problems were identified and ways to solve them were threshed out.  Both agencies affirmed their commitment to efficiently deliver services to the farmers in General Santos.
