TACLOBAN CITY – With the aim of promoting the importance of crop insurance as a protection climate change and other fortuitous events, PCIC joined BFAR during the Fisherfolk Registry Announcement Day and Kick-Off Registration in Tacloban City on September 11, 2014.
PCIC Acting VP-CBAG Antonio Uy II and Region VIII RM Dominico Digamon served as resource speakers on PCIC’s agricultural insurance programs. The registration was attended by DA RFU VIII RED Bernadette San Juan, BFAR Region VIII Director Juan Albaladejo, PCIC CAD COD Ronilo Pesquera and MSD OIC Salvacion Maniebo, and local and national media groups.
The Region VIII fisherfolk registered in BFAR Municipal Fisherfolk Registry (FishR) will later on be covered with insurance protection by PCIC.
