MANILA – As part of its continuing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) commitment this year, the Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation (PCIC) conducted a tree planting program in partnership with the Community Environment and National Resources Office of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (CENRO-DENR).  The activity engaged Head Office Personnel to actively participate in tree planting along the National Highway of Sta. Maria, Bulacan last July 4, 2014.

The tree planting initiative of PCIC, which was spearheaded by PCIC President Jovy Bernabe and supported by CENRO-DENR’s Officer-in-Charge Mr. Roger V. Encarnacion, encouraged employees to be involved in environmental sustainability program.  Particularly for this event, around 600 trees were planted.

Indeed, PCIC endeavors to meet its Corporate Social Responsibility commitment and invests in reforestation efforts.
