PCIC gives P1.7 Million worth of indemnity to Mabinay Farmers
PCIC Region 7 distributed indemnity checks to 155 famers worth ₱1.7 Million in the municipality of Mabinay last October 25, 2019. The distribution was spearheaded by the PCIC Extension Office (PEO) in Dumaguete, Negros Oriental.
“PCIC is pleased that we can help our farmer-beneficiaries in Mabinay,” Junriel Aba, team leader of PEO Dumaguete, said.
Most of the beneficiaries were rice and corn growers, whose crops were damaged by worm infestation.
“As mother of the Municipality of Mabinay, I express our gratitude to PCIC for providing indemnity to our rice and corn farmers,” Mabinay, Negros Oriental Mayor Joetery Uy, who was present at the distribution, said. “We will continue to be in alliance with PCIC to provide more farmers with crop insurance benefits.”
