The DA-Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation (PCIC) Regions XI and XII and the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) Regions XI and XII have successfully conducted a two-day Joint Conference/Orientation of Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries – Agricultural Insurance Program (ARB-AIP) on March 14-15, 2013 at General Santos City.

This initial conference for the DAR-PCIC Regional Coordinating Team of Regions XI and XII was for the purpose of revisiting the roles and responsibilities at regional level for the joint coordination of the over-all implementation of the ARB-AIP per Memorandum of Agreement signed on January 15, 2013.

DAR Region XI Director Fidel B. Morales and DAR Region XII Director Nasser M. Musali, in their opening messages, expressed high hopes on the success of the joint efforts of these two development agencies in uplifting the lives of the agrarian reform beneficiaries.

DAR Organizational Structures and Functions, Support Services Programs/Projects and DAR-DA-PCIC ARB-AIP Implementing Rules and Regulations were presented by Delia Baldovino-Grabales, OIC-Supervising of Rural Finance Division, BARBD of Central Office side by side with the presentation of the PCIC Organizational Structures, Functions and Agricultural Insurance Program by VP Antonio S. Uy, II of Corporate Business Affairs Group (CABG) of PCIC head office.

The LBP Agri Loan Programs for ARBs was presented by Ricardo Jamorabon, Account Officer of LBP Koronadal Lending Center.

PCIC Underwriting, Claims Adjustment, and the Team Adjusters were discussed by Region XII Manager Elias S. Catulong and PCIC XI OIC-Regional Manager Bonifacio V. Pales.

A workshop was facilitated for the purpose of scoping/ARB identification and validation and presentation of targets for each province duly signed and submitted by the participants to the Secretariat as output, comprising both Regions XI and XII by Aurora A. Canezal CARPO-RSSD, DAR XI and Anuar P. Acop CARPO-RSSD, DAR XII.
