PCIC Brings Agri-Insurance Closer to Farmer Through Malasakit Help Desk
Agricultural insurance is now closer to farmers and fishers as the PCIC showcases its products and services in the Department of Agriculture (DA) Malasakit Help Desk..
The DA Malasakit Help Desk is in compliance with a directive from President Rodrigo Duterte. The president previously instructed the DA to be more responsive in addressing the farmers needs through the department and its attached agencies.
“The PCIC is proud to be a part of the DA Malasakit Help Desk,” Mr. Manuel Cortina, Officer-in-Charge of the Business Development and Marketing Department of the PCIC. “The Help Desk serves a one-stop shop for farmers and fishers to see and inquire on the products and services of the DA, including those of the PCIC.”
The Malasakit Help Desk was officially launched by DA Secretary Emmanuel Piñol and other officials of the department at the DA lobby in Quezon City on February 14, 2019. It was also launched simultaneously in the Regional Field Offices of the department.
