Pangasinan under a state of calamityLINGAYEN — The province of Pangasinan has been placed under state of calamity due to damages on agriculture and infrastructure caused by Tropical Storm “Falcon”. In effect, the affected municipalities, cities and barangays need not pass a local resolution for such to enable them to use their respective calamity funds. Have something to report? Provincial Administrator Rafael Baraan said they have to beat the deadline in declaring a locality under a state of calamity for the province to be able to use part of its calamity fund in repair works and other things they need to attend to.
