Liezelda Carin, a hog farmer from Barangay Japitan in Dolores town of Eastern Samar, received on September 27, 2021, an indemnity check worth ₱24,000 from the PCIC Regional Office 8. The indemnity is for the loss of her six hogs which had been affected by the African Swine Fever.
PCIC Regional Office 6 (RO 6) distributes indemnity checks worth ₱512,777 to 97 farmers in the town of Sibalom, Antique on September 24, 2021. Insurance underwriters Joan Montecastro and Jovanie Sefulan, and Administrative Assistant Anjanette Kristine Erecr, led the distribution. Thirty-one swine farmers also availed themselves of PCIC’s Swine Insurance during the activity.
Twenty-two farmers received a total of ₱ 98,850 worth of indemnity checks on September 22, 2021. Luzon farmers’ representative to the PCIC Board of Directors Reynan Calderon led the distribution.
