PCIC recently entered into a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP) wherein DAP shall provide technical guidance to establish a Quality Management System (QMS) certifiable to ISO 9001:2008 for the provision of insurance coverage and claims settlement of the PCIC.

The MOA was signed by PCIC President Atty. Jovy C. Bernabe and DAP President Antonio D. Kalaw, Jr. Witnesses to the signing ceremony held last 30 March 2010 at the PCIC Board Room was PCIC Acting Senior Vice President Norman Cajucom and DAP Vice President and Managing Director of Center for Quality and Competitiveness Arnel D. Abanto.

The adoption of ISO 9001:2008 is in compliance to EO 605, wherein all departments and agencies of the executive branch, including all Government Owned and Controlled Corporations (GOCCs) and Government Financial Institutions (GFIs) are directed to adopt ISO 9001:2008 and the applicable Government Quality Management System Standards (GQMSS).
