Crop insurance firm releases P7M to farmersTHE Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation (PCIC) in Tacloban City has released nearly P7 million worth of insurance claims to farmer-beneficiaries in Eastern Visayas for first three quarters of 2010. Menley Medino, claims division chief of PCIC-Eastern Visayas, told Leyte Samar Daily Express in an interview that the fund benefited 1,304 farmers in various parts of the region.
